A Sample Day at Little Leaps & Bounds

Wondering what the little ones are up to all day?  Here's what a day in the life of our Little Leapers might look like:

8:15 - 9:30 Arrivals, Breakfast*, Small Group Activities

The children are welcomed into school and have the choice of either having a healthy breakfast, participating in a few pre-selected small group activities, or playing in a self-selected area.

9:30 - 10:00 Circle Time, Work Time

Circle time is a fun class gathering in which we connect with the children through music, stories, class discussion about our themed learning.  This is typically followed by fun "work" for the kids.

10:00 - 11:15 Yoga, Playball, Outdoor Play

Featuring a large outdoor space for the children, Little Leaps & Bounds enjoys all the benefits of an "outdoor classroom" - we've taken all the activities outside!

Twice a week we are fortunate to have specialty teachers to facilitate a well-rounded learning experience: Jamarookids comes in for children's yoga & Playball provides an exciting introduction to sports.

11:15 - 12:00 Lunch* and Nap/Quiet Time Preparations

The kids gather to eat their lunches at their tables family-style so the children can eat as they might with their family.  Lunch is followed by a time for relaxation with dimmed lighting and softly-playing lullabies.

12:00 - 2:00 Nap Time

2:00 - 2:30 Snack*, Prepare for Departures

Waking from nap, the children are welcomed with a snack and quiet activities as their friends join them.  Small group activities or outdoor play occurs until families arrive to pick up their little ones.

2:30 - 2:45 Departures

* Little Leaps & Bounds is a proud member of the Federal Food Program - meaning we offer healthy, well-balanced meals at no extra cost to the families we serve.  Breakfast, lunch and afternoon snack is currently served at set hours during the day.  Please contact us for more information.
