What are the little ones up to all day? Here's what a day in the life of our Little Leapers might look like:
Arrivals until 9:45 Arrivals & Small Group Activities
Upon arrival, each child is warmly welcomed into our school and offered a choice of pre-selected small group activities or playing in a self-selected area, ensuring they feel comfortable and at home.
9:45 - 10:15 Circle Time, Work Time
Circle time is a lively class gathering where we connect with the children through music, stories, and class discussions about our themed learning. This is followed by engaging and enjoyable 'work' for the kids, making learning a fun experience.
10:15 - 11:15 Outdoor Play, Yoga, Music & Movement
Little Leaps & Bounds is lucky to have a spacious backyard, allowing us to create a true “outdoor classroom” experience for the children. We bring many of our activities outside, always with safety as our top priority. Our program is enriched by specialty teachers—like Jamarookids for children’s yoga and bilingual music & movement—who add extra fun and variety to our weekly routine!
11:15 - 12:00 Lunch and Nap/Quiet Time Preparations
The kids gather to eat their lunches at their tables family-style so the children can eat as they might with their family. Lunch is followed by a time for relaxation with dimmed lighting and softly playing lullabies.
12:00 - 2:00 Nap Time
2:00 - 2:30 Snack
After waking from a nap, the children have a snack and activities while their friends join them.
2:30 until Departure Self-Selected Play, Departures
With their tummies full and rested, the children take this opportunity to choose their own favorite activities. They prepare for pickup with diaper changes/bathroom breaks and gathering projects completed during the day. If it is a sunny day, small group activities and outdoor play occur until families arrive to pick up their children.
